Job summary

Orange Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized learning experiences and supervise students with disabilities in a supportive classroom that aligns with each student's IEP and the State Core Curriculum. Achieving academic excellence requires collaboration with the Child Study Team and with parents.

The teacher will work with school staff to develop and implement effective instruction and progress monitoring.

Assumes professional responsibility for providing specialized learning experiences and supervision of students with disabilities in a supportive and positive classroom climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards as outlined in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for the student, using approved curricula and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Special Education Teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff, particularly the Child Study Team, and with parents of each student.

Requirements

• Elementary School Teacher and
• Teacher of Students w/ Disabilities
• As per negotiated salary agreement
• Commensurate with education and experience

Starting salary begins at $73,289.00
