Job summary

Orange Schools is seeking an Elementary School Special Education Teacher to provide specialized learning experiences and supervision for students with disabilities from Preschool through Grade 3, aligned to IEP goals and State Core Curriculum standards.

The role requires collaboration with the Child Study Team, school staff, and parents to ensure academic excellence, using approved curricula and directives of the school.

Qualifications

• Preschool through Grade 3 experience
• Teacher of Students with Disabilities (P-3)
• Commensurate with education and experience

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized learning experiences and supervise students with disabilities in a supportive classroom climate to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge per IEP and state standards.
• Collaborate with Child Study Team, school staff and parents to support student achievement.
• Follow approved curricula and directives of the school.

Job Description/Summary

Assumes professional responsibility for providing specialized learning experiences and supervision of students with disabilities in a supportive and positive classroom climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards as outlined in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for the student, using approved curricula and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Special Education Teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff, particularly the Child Study Team, and with parents of each student.

• As per negotiated salary agreement
• Commensurate with education and experience

Starting salary begins at $73,289.00

Compensation package includes the following benefits
