Salary Schedule

Qualifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement programs and activities for students and the school.
  • Participate actively with faculty and staff.
  • Contribute to school improvement efforts.
  • Manage classroom and supervise equipment care.
  • Pursue professional development activities.
  • Diagnose and analyze student progress for tailored instruction.
  • Use various instructional techniques and current technology.
  • Evaluate student progress regularly.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive climate.
  • Show sensitivity to students, parents, and community; promote student self-esteem.
  • Maintain professional relationships with parents and communicate regularly.
  • Encourage parental involvement.
  • Keep accurate records including grades, attendance, and progress reports.
  • Protect student and school property.
  • Stay updated on technology used by OCPS and attend training as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate job-related information management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.

Physical Ability

Moderate physical effort involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects of moderate weight.

Sensory Requirements

Visual perception, oral communication, and auditory discrimination.

Environmental Factors

Tasks performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated according to the negotiated contract between the School Board of Orange County, Florida, and the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association.

Required reading and background in coaching Math, Science, and ELA are endorsed.
