Job summary

Frontier School Division invites applications for two Resource Teacher positions at the Helen Betty Osborne Ininiw Education Resource Centre in Norway House, Manitoba. Start date is September 8, 2026, with a 1.00 FTE term to June 30, 2027.

The school serves approximately 1,400 students; applicants must hold a Manitoba teaching credential and demonstrate ability in differentiated instruction and assessment. Relocation and housing support are provided under the Manitoba Teachers' Collective

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education required; Master’s preferred.
• Manitoba Teaching Certificate or eligibility required.
• Inclusive Education certification or progress preferred.
• Experience as a Resource Teacher is required.
• Strong knowledge of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction.
• Experience with formal and informal assessment preferred.
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life is an asset.
• Experience in a northern community is an asset.

About The Community

Helen Betty Osborne Ininiw Education Resource Centre is a Nursery to Grade 12 school serving approximately 1,400 students. It is one of the largest and most unique schools in the province. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus and daily air service.

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Education Degree and preferably a Master's Degree in Education or related field and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
• Manitoba Inclusive Education Teaching certificate or certification in progress
• Previous experience as a Resource Teacher
• Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction
• Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment
• Familiar with appropriate educational programming
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
• Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
