Job summary

The Goddard School located in Chester Springs, PA is seeking a dependable Resource Teacher to join our team. You will support Lead and Assistant Teachers, work with infants through pre-K, and help maintain safe, engaging classrooms.

This role offers variety across classrooms and the opportunity to build relationships with children and staff while assisting with daily routines and transitions. No two days are the same.

Our Resource Teachers are an important part of our school community. You'll have the opportunity to work in different classrooms, build relationships with children across the school, support teachers throughout the day, and step in wherever you're needed most. What You'll Do:

As a Resource Teacher, you will:

• Support Lead and Assistant Teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Work with infants, toddlers, twos, preschool, and pre-K children depending on the needs of the school
• Build positive relationships with children across different age groups
• Step into classrooms to provide additional support during busy times, breaks, transitions, and staff absences
• Engage children through play, conversation, books, music, movement, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate activities
• Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, nap, and transitions
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting classrooms
• Support teachers with classroom preparation, cleaning, and organization
• Follow classroom routines, curriculum, health and safety procedures, and state licensing requirements
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and team members
• Be a dependable team member who is ready to jump in and help wherever needed

A high school diploma is required. An associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Previous experience working with children is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who has a genuine passion for early childhood education.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children and meet all required state background check, education, experience, and credential requirements.
