Job summary

Platinum Therapy is seeking a dedicated Resource Specialist Teacher (RST) to provide special education services to students in a school-based setting across Siskiyou County, California. This is a full-time, in-person role with you as the case manager for your caseload.

You will develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, coordinate IEP meetings, and monitor progress toward academic goals. Travel between sites is required, and compensation is competitive and experience-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• California Special Education teaching credential or other appropriate California credential/authorization.
• Experience with IEPs and special education case management.
• Knowledge of California special education requirements and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites.
• Commitment to providing individualized, student-centered educational support.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 28 students across multiple school sites.
• Serve as the special education case manager for assigned students.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate IEP meetings with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
• Monitor student progress toward academic and educational goals.
• Prepare and complete IEP progress reports and other required documentation.
• Provide specialized instruction and academic support based on individual student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the least restrictive environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
