Job summary

Every Special Child LLC. is looking for a full-time Resource Specialist Teacher in Oakland, CA, to support students with disabilities. The role involves developing lesson plans, collaborating with parents, and monitoring student progress. Candidates should hold a valid California Education Specialist License and have at least 1 year of experience in special education.

Future Opening: Resource Specialist Teacher

Every Special Child is hiring a Resource Specialist Teacher in Oakland, CA. We offer wonderful compensation with a great salary structure. Currently, we are working with several school districts throughout California.

Details of Assignment:

  • Full time Resource Specialist Teacher (RSP) Elementary
  • Caseload: To be decided
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • No. Of Working Days: 5 days/week
  • End date: Jun 2024
  • Location: Oakland, CA 94607

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for teaching groups of students.
  • Meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
  • You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students’ progress.
  • Adapt learning materials to students’ needs, ability to create IEPs
  • Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress
  • Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
  • Prepare students for the transition to the next grade
  • Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities
  • Collaborate with the support staff
  • All other duties related to the program.

Requirements:

  • Valid California Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Education Specialist License
  • 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred.
