UHY International in the United States seeks a seasoned Resource Solutions – Project Consultant to lead accounting and finance engagements for mid-market to large clients. You will apply your expertise to address complex challenges across industries, delivering practical solutions.

In this role you will oversee financial operations, manage month-end closings, prepare statements, budgets, and forecasts, and drive internal controls compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience in multi-entity firms.
• Experience with complex corporate structures.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP.
• Strong communication across organizational levels.
• Background checks required.

Example Responsibilities and types of engagements

• Serve as Interim Controller, overseeing financial operations
• Manage accounting functions, transactions, and month-end closings
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Implement and monitor internal controls for regulatory compliance
• Lead special projects (e.g., system transitions, audit preparations, M&A financial integrations)

Supervisory responsibilities

• Potential to supervise employees, depending upon client need

Work environment

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical demands

• Prolonged periodPs of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel required

• Travel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending upon client’s needs

Required education and experience

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields
• Experience working in complex, multi-entity corporations
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Strong self-motivation and initiative in ambiguous situations
• Proficiency in accounting applications (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and data analysis tools
• Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
• Ability to pass thorough background checks (criminal, credit, education, certification, references)

Preferred education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
• CPA or equivalent certification
