Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Resource Pool/Float Registered Nurse to provide versatile nursing care across multiple units within the VA Black Hills Health Care System.

The role focuses on direct and indirect care, patient assessment, medication administration, and education for Veterans and families. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, engage in evidence-based practices, and contribute to care continuity as needs arise.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required per VA policy.
• Licensed registered nurse with active state license.
• Education from ACEN/CCNE accredited program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care across multiple units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Educate Veterans and families about care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Support flexible staffing across care settings.
