Job summary

Cascade Natural Gas Corporation is seeking a Business Professional & Administrative teammate to place safety first while compiling and analyzing data for Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) documents. Preference for Kennewick, WA or Boise, ID; remote work within the MDU Utilities Group may be considered.

Key duties include assisting in IRP development, demand forecasting, economic analysis, and regulatory filings; requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and utility forecasting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, engineering or related field.
• Two years of utility experience including forecasting.
• Five years of utility integrated resource planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and development of IRP, focusing on demand forecasts, weather normalization, economic analysis, energy market intelligence, price forecasts and supply-side analyses.
• Assists with the written plan and presentations related to the IRP.
• Monitors statutes, tariffs, regulatory proceedings affecting IRP and related climate/energy legislation.
• Performs analysis of gas supply resource acquisition and modeling results.
• Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
