Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in food plant manufacturing preferred.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Train other workers on tasks as needed.
• Perform CIP, sanitation, and titrations to maintain sanitation.
• Report equipment/production issues to Production Supervisor.
• Take area samples for micro and analytical results.
• Maintain knowledge of production and CIP flows.
• Complete pre-operational log before production run.
• Operate cheese and whey equipment and CIP systems.
• Return sample vials to lab after production run.
• Identify deviations in operating parameters and correct them.
• Understand computer-machinery interactions and adjust as needed.
• Clean and set up areas and processes.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Identify changes or deviations in circumstances.
• Follow start-up procedures safely.
• Take and log readings accurately.
• Adjust factors by cheese/whey type.
• Operator-level troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Monitor whey, permeate and lactose flows.
