Position: Resource Nurse

The Resource Nurse plays a vital role in the healthcare team, ensuring continuous, high-quality patient care by providing scheduled breaks and relief coverage for staff nurses. This role is essential for maintaining uninterrupted patient care and supporting nursing staff's well-being and productivity. The position requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to various patient care needs and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide relief coverage for meal and rest periods for nursing staff assigned to patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to City of Hope's Code of Conduct, Code of Organizational Ethics, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • Uphold professional nursing standards and foster healthy interpersonal relationships.
  • Embrace responsibility, authority, and accountability in nursing activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to coworkers and role-based practice.
  • Part-time position: Days, 8 hours (9 am - 5:30 pm), 24 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience
  • Current California RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

Compensation is based on work experience, qualifications, and location.
