Job description

The Land, Housing and Shelter Section (LHS), part of the Global Solutions Division at UN-Habitat is recruiting a Resource Mobilization and Partnership Consultant to strengthen its fundraising and engagement efforts and support the resources’ mobilization initiatives to boost its portfolio on housing, land and slums.

The consultant will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments to identify existing and potential funding opportunities;
  2. Analyse donor trends, partnership landscapes, and alignment with UN-Habitat and LHS priorities;
  3. Identify key current and emerging donors, including UN funds, joint funds, governments and ODA, philanthropic, private sector partners, etc.;
  4. Explore innovative financing mechanisms and non-traditional funding sources;
  5. Identify opportunities for joint resource mobilization with other UN entities;
  6. Develop and submit at least 10 concept notes and/or project documents to donors.
