Overview

Volunteer Opportunity: Resource Database Researcher
Location: Remote / Flexible
Time Commitment: Part-time, 4–8 weeks

We’re building a comprehensive resource database to better connect our community with the organizations and services they need—and we need your help! As a Resource Database Volunteer, you will research and compile information on local organizations, including contact details, services offered, and counties served, and enter this data into our Airtable database.

Responsibilities
  • Research organizations and programs across our 14-county district (Marion, Madison, Jasper, Warren, Polk, Dallas, Hamilton, Story, Boone, Greene, Decatur, Wayne, Clarke, and Lucas)
  • Collect and verify accurate information from websites and other public sources
  • Enter data into Airtable, ensuring it is organized and structured consistently
  • Collaborate with our team to clarify any missing or ambiguous information
Qualifications
  • Experience with Airtable is helpful but not required
  • Basic knowledge of structuring data in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with resources and organizations in our 14-county district is a strong plus
Commitment

Flexible, part-time work over the next 4–6 weeks (starting immediately)

Remote-friendly; work can be completed on your own schedule
