Job Goal
The Resource Counselor at Hendry Success Academy plays a critical role in supporting students in grades 6-12 who are attending the Academy as an alternative to expulsion from the Hendry County School District. This position is responsible for guiding and assisting students in completing their required coursework, ensuring they meet the terms of their stipulated agreements, and actively engaging with the necessary support provided by the Academy. The Resource Counselor will work collaboratively with school discipline administrators from all four secondary schools, community agency partners, and district staff to facilitate student success and re-entry into their home school environments when appropriate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. Ability to actively perform work in classroom, office, and other business and community settings. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (typically involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting). Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to weather conditions. Ability to travel outside the district for a variety of meetings and conferences.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Calendar Months: 10 Month
Salary Schedule: Non-Instructional (Bargaining) Pay Grade: 99
Salary and Benefits as determined and approved annually by Hendry County School Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with School Board Policies for evaluation of administrative personnel.
