The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. Some evening hours will be required.

Under the direction of the Community Services YMCA for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, and in accordance with the Christian nature and purpose of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, the Site Resource Coordinator will support the district-wide community learning center initiative of creating schools as centers of community and initiate, facilitate and maintain programs and strategies that are aligned with the schools as well as youth and community development goals. The Site Resource Coordinator will develop, promote and further the wisest use of community resources to create optimal positive impact by enhancing community and individual assets, meeting critical human service needs ad promoting long-term community solutions.

Duties And Responsibilities

The Site Resource Coordinator must have the competencies, skills, and proven leadership ability to successfully carry out the association’s mission, goals, and visions for serving the community. Other important competencies for the Site Resource Coordinator include:

  • Participate as key leader in community engagement process to create or capitalize on opportunities related to Community Assets and Needs Assessments.
  • Continue to engage community with ongoing community development needs and activities as a successor to the initial community engagement process. Promote long-term solutions. Integrate new program materials.
  • Participate in district and individual school grant-seeking and other fund development activities; including planning and development of application processes, grant writing and training or technical assistance in outcome measurement reporting.
  • Facilitate communication and relationship building with community building partners, key stakeholders and volunteers including participation in community groups and/or committees.
  • Serve as key information contact for non-school day schedule; communicate and coordinate full slate of activities; act as key community contact person for schools and assigned school staff.
  • Prepare monthly reports for submission to agency leadership. Maintain up-to-date records for all programs.
  • Coordinate resources coming into school site and community, including primary health, mental health, art, recreation, afterschool and other resources, per the community engagement process and district-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain and update agreements for all partners and programs (as per the design manual), including outcome measurements against shared goals as set forth and collaborate with the LSDMC on monitoring effectiveness through outcome measurements.
  • Lead partnership meetings to ensure ongoing synergistic, coordinated and integrated programming working seamlessly with the school staff.
  • Provide supervision and coordination of programming during and beyond the school day for students, families and the community during extended daily hours and yearlong.
  • Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.


Qualifications Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred and experience in coordinating comprehensive program activities in a school or institutional setting.
  • Good organization/planning, team building, verbal and written communication skills necessary.
  • Requires excellent networking, training, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of public schools helpful.
  • Must be available to work afterschool and weekends as needed.
