Job description

The Eden Resort & Suites Host will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with a warm and friendly demeanor.Must be at least 16 years of age. May be expected to work weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly, escort them to assigned dining areas, present menus, and announce the server’s name.
• Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference.
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• Tend to special guest needs and requests.
• Manage the seating chart.
• Put guests on waitlists and manage the list.
• Receive takeout orders and use the POS.
• Assist dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages.
• Various side work.
• Issue dining charges, verify orders, and calculate taxes, and total bills for to-go orders.
• Receive payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, and accepting currency.
• Reconcile cash drawer, prove cash transactions, list checks and credit card charges for to-go orders.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education And Experience Required:

Compensation

$12 hourly to start DOE
