Town and Country Resort in San Diego seeks an Engineer I to keep guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems running smoothly. This hands-on role focuses on routine maintenance and prompt problem solving to ensure a safe, comfortable guest experience.

We offer an hourly rate of $24.85 with opportunities to grow in hospitality engineering. You will collaborate with the Engineering team, learn OSHA procedures, and contribute to a clean, welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, engineering, facilities, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job correctly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to guest room and departmental maintenance requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems as assigned.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify the cause of problems and make appropriate repairs.
• Assist with maintaining resort equipment, fixtures, furniture, and facilities.
• Inspect areas and equipment for potential safety or maintenance concerns and report issues appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts or materials used.
• Assist with pool, grounds, and other resort maintenance as needed.
• Work with outside contractors and vendors when directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and resort policies.
• Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance situations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
