Job summary

ATS is seeking an Account Executive to develop national business relationships and drive automation solutions for Power Generation and Advanced Manufacturing sectors. You will sell PLC/SCADA systems, provide technical consulting, and estimate project costs while coordinating with program managers and engineers.

Role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, strong communication, and travel across North America. Base salary with commission offers a rewarding, office-and-field work mix.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Mechanical and electrical systems experience.
  • Business development experience in Industrial Automation, Power Generation, High-Tech Manufacturing and EPMS.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term B2B relationships with customers on a national scale.
  • Support opportunities in Power Generation and High-Tech Manufacturing markets.
  • Sell Industrial Controls (PLC, SCADA, DDC & Analytic Solutions).
  • Provide consulting to Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Owners.
  • Estimate control system hardware and installation costs from project plans.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Engineers and Technicians for project success.
  • Represent ATS at industry events and educate clients on solutions.
  • Track project financials and deadlines; adjust plans as needed.

As an Account Executive, you will support and develop long-term business to business relationships with customers on a national scale with both existing & new customers. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction of ATS's overall deliverable, pro-actively driving customer solutions, and developing business opportunities for ATS. You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Support and develop sustainable and profitable business opportunities in the Power Generation or High-Tech Manufacturing markets as well as other complimentary vertical markets across the United States.
  • Sell Industrial Controls (PLC, SCADA, DDC & Analytic Solutions)

  • Provide consulting support to Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Owners for building control and mechanical systems.
  • Estimate control system hardware and installation costs based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Interface with ATS Program Managers, Project Managers, Engineers and Technicians to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Provide industry presentations and seminars to educate and influence the consulting, contracting and building engineering community.
  • Be aware and track project financials
  • Participate in industry events to drive business opportunities via marketing & promotion of ATS Industrial.
  • Work with Customers to identify pain-points and potential opportunities.
  • Assist customer with solution definition and developing & budgeting project scopes of work.
  • Follow-up on deliverables and project commitments.

JOB DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Base salary: $80,000-100,000 depending on experience and tenure
  • Commission-based compensation structure
  • Full-time, exempt position.
  • Monday-Friday with flexibility as needed to meet proposal deadlines, attend industry events, etc.
  • Ability to travel as needed to locations in North America
  • This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 25% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder. Small repetitive motions and use of small tools is included.
