Job summary

Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking an Engineer on Duty to maintain the comfort, safety, and appearance of the resort. You’ll respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot building systems, and perform preventive maintenance to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires experience in hotel or facilities maintenance, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to manage multiple work orders in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/resort facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and resolve issues professionally.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair fixtures, appliances, lighting, locks, doors, and furnishings.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance assignments.
• Inspect public areas, guest rooms, back-of-house spaces, and mechanical areas.
• Maintain pool, spa, and water feature equipment.
• Perform repairs to lighting, flooring, ceilings, walls, doors, windows.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment.
• Complete work orders accurately and document repairs in the maintenance system.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies and assist with urgent needs.
• Support renovations, projects, and equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
