Job summary

Affim is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Resilience Engineering team. You will guide production load testing and chaos engineering to ensure safety and reliability of critical systems in production.

You will mentor engineers, build platforms and tooling for safe experimentation, and partner across teams to embed resilience into the SDLC with strong safeguards and observability.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in reliability, infra, or distributed systems.
• Hands-on with production load testing or chaos engineering.
• Experience with a chaos engineering vendor such as Gremlin or Harness.
• Understanding of failure modes in distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and observability tooling.
• Strong programming background in Python/Java/Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the resilience engineering vision for production load testing and chaos engineering.
• Lead engineers building platforms and tooling for safe production experiments.
• Partner with infra, product, and security leadership to embed resilience in the software development lifecycle.
• Own the design of platforms enabling safe load testing and fault injection with safeguards.
• Develop monitoring, observability, and incident response for resilience experiments.
