The Pennsylvania State University seeks Youth Program Leaders for summer Architecture and Landscape Architecture Camps. Leaders will supervise minors, ensure safety, manage daily program tasks, and instruct activities. JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Conferences and Institutes is seeking Youth Program Leaders for Architecture and Landscape Architecture Camps, scheduled for Week 1 (July 12-16) and Week 2 (July 19-23), 2025.
Youth Program Leaders are responsible for the 24-hour supervision and safety of minors participating in this program. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of daily program administration, such as youth compliance policies, emergency response, communication with the Program Director and Manager, medication handling, and oversight of health information. Leaders may assist with developing instructional content and delivering lessons and activities.
Leaders must monitor safety, whereabouts, and actions of participants at all times, including non-instructional periods. They should be able to handle issues related to participant interactions, behavior, mental health, and acclimation, responding quickly and calmly to any situation, including behavioral or sensitive issues, following notification protocols as necessary.
