The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to provide direct care and supervision for youth in a cottage setting. You will teach social, academic, and independent living skills and relieve Cottage Parents as needed.

This full‑time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, and a valid Florida driver’s license. You will follow agency policies and handle daily notes, MARs, and cottage records while supporting youth development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to establish and maintain warm, consistent relationships with youth, parents and caregivers and staff.
• Knowledge of group dynamics, child development and group living.
• Educational background to guide youth, maintain cottage records and monitor expenditures.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a cottage setting.
• Teach and model social, academic, and independent living skills.
• Relieve Cottage Parents during time off and manage cottage operations.
• Maintain confidentiality, discipline policies, and youth rights.
• Complete required paperwork (daily notes, MAR, incident reports, time sheets).
• Engage youth through cottage crew, work programs, education, chapel, and recreation.
