Job summary

The Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services (CHOR YFS) is seeking a Youth Counselor to supervise and mentor adolescent males in a residential setting in Doylestown, PA. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide a safe, therapeutic environment and support youth in achieving behavioral goals.

Qualifications include a human services degree or a high school diploma with related experience. Must be at least 21, with a valid driver's license and clear background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision, mentoring, and guidance to residents.
• Build trusting relationships through effective communication and positive role modeling.
• Maintain safety and security of residents and the facility.
• Supervise residents during school, recreation, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and case managers to develop behavioral goals.
• Encourage positive decision-making and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate EHR and behavioral documentation.
• Record resident progress toward treatment goals.
• Participate in training and follow program policies and procedures.
