Sjkids in Louisville, KY is seeking a Residential Youth Worker to provide a therapeutic milieu for children in care, ensuring health and safety, and assisting with daily treatment goals. Shifts include 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, and 11pm–9am.

You will document actions, participate in treatment team communications, and help teach life skills while maintaining a safe, respectful environment. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s is preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a related field preferred.
• Experience preferred in providing appropriate care to clients and participating in a treatment program.

Responsabilidades

• Implements the child caring program by providing a therapeutic milieu.
• Responds to clients' needs with fairness, objectivity, firmness, care, and concern.
• Ensures the health and safety of clients in care.
• Provides input into client's treatment plans and goals.
• Communicates with the treatment team about client progress and treatment needs.
• Supervises and assists residents in fulfilling daily treatment goals and basic needs.
• Teaches basic life skills and supervises activities and routines.
• Documents thoroughly and communicates with coworkers to ensure consistent interventions.
• Administers medication as prescribed and maintains log records.
