Jefferson Center in Wheat Ridge, CO seeks a Withdrawal Management Residential Counselor to provide milieu management, safety, and guidance to clients experiencing intoxication or withdrawal. The role includes assessing symptoms, documenting, transporting when needed, and potential acting shift coordinator with pay differential; cross-functional support with other teams as needed.

Candidates need a high school diploma and CAT; preferred Bachelor’s degree and CAS; QMAP and CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CAT certification or ability to obtain CAT within 18 months.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, human services, or social work preferred; CAS within 18 months or ability to obtain CAS.
• QMAP certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License; driving record meets agency requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Adapt to staffing needs and potential deployment to other units as needed.
• Support different teams within credentialing scope.
• Assess intoxication levels, withdrawal symptoms, vital signs, and mental status.
• Identify emergencies and follow AIR procedures during shifts.
• Ensure client safety and maintain shared spaces and supplies.
• Facilitate co-facilitated psychoeducation groups with clients.
• Engage clients to identify goals and provide referrals to supportive services.
• May serve as Acting Shift Coordinator with pay differential.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent; CAT certification or ability to obtain CAT within 18 months

Bachelor's degree (preferred) in psychology, counseling, human services, or social work; CAS within 18 months (preferred)

QMAP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Valid Colorado Driver's License

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
