Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Wellston, OH is hiring Residential Helpers to assist drivers with waste and recycling collection along routes. You will provide safe removal services, load bins, and maintain truck cleanliness while delivering reliable customer service.

Key duties include frequent entering/exiting the truck, coordinating with drivers, and assisting with loading and unloading by hand. Physical endurance for outdoor work is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and understand truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with customers.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, safely and compliantly.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300–600 times per day on route.
• Replace receptacles at curb or designated area and clean up waste spills.
• Interact professionally with customers and assist drivers as needed.
• Operate truck mechanisms and assist with backing up the vehicle.
