Job summary

Shineforth, based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Treatment Specialist to supervise a team of support coaches and deliver daily therapeutic care in a residential setting. You will participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team, use Collaborative Problem-Solving techniques to manage challenging behaviors, and help youth ages 11-17 transition back to the community.

Master’s degree with 2+ years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years; supervisory experience and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Masters degree plus 2 years’ related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience may substitute for Master’s degree.
• Must be proficient in use of personal computer and Microsoft Office products.
• Must have minimum of 6 months of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of a team of support coaches, and daily therapeutic care, programming, and crisis intervention for residents.
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and use Collaborative Problem-Solving techniques to help clients with challenging behaviors.
• Build helping relationships and support youth in residential treatment.
