Job summary

Community and Family Resources in Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time Treatment Specialist to support the clinical counseling staff in our Men's Residential Unit. The role focuses on assisting clients with assessments, orientation, safety, and daily activities in a supportive recovery environment.

Evening shift 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with some weekends/holidays; requires HS diploma or GED, medication management cert or ability to obtain within 90 days, valid driver’s license, and lived recovery

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medication Management Certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.
  • Lived experience with recovery is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists clients in completion of necessary assessment forms/documents as needed.
  • Orients clients to program services.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of clients’ whereabouts and behaviors.
  • Offers clients feedback and support.
  • Reports client issues to staff.
  • Assists with light housekeeping duties, including shredding, trash, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and other areas as assigned.
  • Answers the phone and forwards calls as needed.
  • Assist with transportation of clients to scheduled appointments, planned activities, or as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assists with searching client belongings.
  • Assists with rounds of the facility.
  • Assists with follow up surveys and entering data.

Community and Family Resources is seeking a part-time Treatment Specialist to assist the clinical counseling staff with providing addiction rehabilitation services to individuals living in our Men's Residential Unit in Des Moines Iowa.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists clients in completion of necessary assessment forms/documents as needed.
  • Orients clients to program services.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of clients’ whereabouts and behaviors.
  • Offers clients feedback and support.
  • Reports client issues to staff.

Schedule:
