Job summary

Requires a degree in Human Services or an equivalent credential and experience with adults with substance use disorders; Peer Recovery Specialist certification is acceptable or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with adults with substance use disorders is required or beneficial.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist in Virginia is acceptable or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model for residents.
• Contribute to formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans.
• Model and develop socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors in residents.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services

Associate's Degree + 3 months experience with adults with substance use disorders

High School Diploma or GED + 6 months experience with adults with substance use disorders

Peer Recovery Specialist certification (Virginia) or in progress
