Our Residential Therapist is responsible for clinical duties within the residential treatment milieu. This staff provides individual and group therapy services and coordinates appropriate clinical treatment for their primary caseload, ensuring trauma‑informed interventions consistent with the agency program model are applied according to client needs. This staff also provides clinical supervision of a group of milieu staff as assigned.
Crittenton offers the only licensed residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting girls in the state. While pregnant or parenting girls are the top priority for admissions, approximately 30% of girls come to the program solely for specialized behavioral health care in a gender‑responsive, trauma‑informed environment. The therapeutic approach includes a commitment to providing care in the healthiest, least restrictive setting to meet adolescent needs. Clients live in a dorm‑like main residential building or supervised houses on campus, attend school in an on‑grounds classroom or community schools, and young mothers receive Nurturing Parenting Education with daycare available within the facility.
Monday through Friday, daytime hours with two mandatory late nights each week; weekends as needed to facilitate Family Integrated Treatment services; on‑call program staff duties for a week at a time on a rotating schedule, which requires availability after hours and on weekends to consult with residential staff on duty about concerns or emergencies. On occasion, the Residential Therapist may be required to be on site to support residential needs at atypical times. As an exempt employee, the schedule may vary according to client needs or program needs.
