Job summary

Thompson is seeking a Residential Therapist to support youth in our Carolinas region. You will provide individual and group therapy, complete assessments, attend team meetings, and develop person-centered plans in our residential facility.

Requirements include a Master's in a human services field, licensure or provisional license in NC, and at least 1 year of experience. The role offers full-time hours, benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Provisional or full therapist licensure in North Carolina.

What will you do as a Residential Therapist?

• As a Residential Therapist you will be needed to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Your schedule may vary based on clinical needs of the youth receiving services. This will also include being flexible to work rotating weekends.
• A typical day as a Residential Therapist will include providing individual and group therapy, completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, attending Child & Family Team meetings, and developing and monitoring person-centered plans for youth in our residential facility.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Master's degree in human services related field required
• Associate or provisional license required
• A minimum of 1 years of relevant professional experience
• Availability to be flexible and work rotating weekends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills. Provisional or fully licensed to practice therapy in North Carolina (depending on specific program).
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertain to the program(s) you lead
• All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
