Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a resident assistant to support the daily operations of a group home in Tennessee. The role involves transporting residents, maintaining medication records, and supervising meals and activities to promote safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily living tasks, arranging community activities, and ensuring adherence to house rules, with emergency notification obligations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Mental Health experience or experience as a resident worker preferred.
• Must have a valid TN Drivers License with an F endorsement (Georgia residents must have a valid GA Drivers License) unless otherwise restricted from driving.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid also required.

Responsabilités

• Transporting Residents to and from other programs and/or scheduled activities, as assigned.
• Ensure that prescribed medication is maintained and made available for the residents. Keep records of the same.
• Supervise meal preparation, cleaning and other household/outside duties as required.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of daily living for residents.
• Provide or make arrangements for social, recreational, religious activities in the community as approved.
• Provide ancillary services to the residents in the community as assigned, such as housing, financial aid, employment, medical, legal, etc.
• Ensure that residence is maintained in keeping with the Managers direction and licensing requirements.
• Provide for the life safety for all residents in the group home.
• Responsible for forcing all house rules.
• Notify group home manager and designated relative in the event of an emergency.
