Job summary

Lumina Recovery in Sun Valley, CA is seeking a dedicated Residential Technician to join our team. You will support individuals in recovery, complete admissions tasks, coordinate transportation, and maintain accurate client records with confidentiality.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CA driver license with clean record, and CPR/First Aid training, plus strong communication and observation skills to address crises and coordinate care with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• RADT or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in mental health or related field is a must.
• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record is required.
• CPR/First Aid, TB test, Health Screen/Work Clearance, and Food Handlers Certification completed.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission/intake procedures and initial orientation.
• Perform client file documentation and progress notes.
• Coordinate transportation and errands for clients.
• Conduct urine drug screenings as needed.
• Supervise medication calls and assist with crises.

Lumina Recovery is searching for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Technician to join our team of professionals at our Sun Valley location. Key Responsibilities

• Completing admission/intake procedures for new clients including paperwork, room assignments, and initial orientation
• Conducting property searches as required by program standards
• Performing urine drug screenings for clients
• Supervising medication calls if necessary
• Providing transportation services including patient transportation, donation pick-ups, and agency errands
• Attending in-service training, educational workshops, and required staff meetings
• Developing and maintaining client records, progress reports, and treatment documentation
• Identifying and addressing crises, behavioral changes, and additional assistance needs
• Adhering to professional ethics, maintaining confidential information, and respecting appropriate boundaries

Key Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• RADT or equivalency
• Minimum of one year experience in the mental health field or educational progress towards a degree in a mental health field
• Must possess valid California driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication, observation, and writing skills
• Familiarity with various recovery resources available in the community
• Completed required trainings and certifications, including CPR/First Aid, TB test, Health Screen/Work Clearance, and Food Handlers Certification
