Job summary

Lumina Recovery is seeking a dedicated Residential Technician for our Sun Valley location. The role supports individuals in recovery from addiction and mental health challenges within a compassionate team.

Responsibilities include admissions, client documentation, drug screenings, transportation, and participation in trainings. A California driver’s license and relevant certifications are required to ensure safe, compliant care practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• RADT or equivalency required.
• Minimum of one year in mental health or progress toward a related degree.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication, observation and writing skills.
• Familiarity with community recovery resources.
• Completed CPR/First Aid, TB test, Health Screen/Work Clearance and Food Handlers certs.

Responsibilities

• Perform property searches as required by program standards.
• Conduct urine drug screenings for clients.
• Supervise medication calls when necessary.
• Provide transportation services including patient transport and errands.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
• Develop and maintain client records and treatment documentation.
• Identify crises and address additional needs while maintaining boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing admission/intake procedures for new clients including paperwork, room assignments, and initial orientation
• Conducting property searches as required by program standards
• Performing urine drug screenings for clients
• Supervising medication calls if necessary
• Providing transportation services including patient transportation, donation pick-ups, and agency errands
• Attending in-service training, educational workshops, and required staff meetings
• Developing and maintaining client records, progress reports, and treatment documentation
• Identifying and addressing crises, behavioral changes, and additional assistance needs
• Adhering to professional ethics, maintaining confidential information, and respecting appropriate boundaries

Key Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• RADT or equivalency
• Minimum of one year experience in the mental health field or educational progress towards a degree in a mental health field
• Must possess valid California driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication, observation, and writing skills
• Familiarity with various recovery resources available in the community
• Completed required trainings and certifications, including CPR/First Aid, TB test, Health Screen/Work Clearance, and Food Handlers Certification
