Job summary

Johnson County Developmental Supports is seeking a Residential Team Leader to supervise residential services, guide staff in person-centered planning, and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and family communication.

The role requires leadership across teams, adherence to regulatory requirements, and the ability to coordinate services 24/7, including on-call responsibilities. A background in human services and relevant certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of human services or relevant experience.
• Three years experience with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities or other vulnerable population.
• Must successfully complete JCDS trainings (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration) to maintain certifications.
• Candidate must pass criminal and motor vehicle background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of a High Performing Organization, mentors and coaches staff, and aligns with Pillars of Performance.
• Provides leadership to Direct Support Professionals in Person Centered Planning and Behavioral Supports; trains, develops goals, and tracks progress.
• Ensures quality service delivery, conducts team meetings, monitors requests, and maintains health and safety focus.
• Engages in program development and collaboration with community partners to promote inclusive services and continuous improvement.
