Job summary

Pro Social Partners, in partnership with North Star Children's Homes, is recruiting a Residential Support Worker for their residential homes in the Ascot area of Berkshire.

You will provide day-to-day care, help with school and activities, and contribute to care plans and daily records in a warm, safe home. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential, plus experience with children who have faced trauma. This is a permanent role with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above (essential).
• Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a residential setting.
• Calm, patient approach to children who have experienced trauma.
• Reliability and teamwork a children's home depends on.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for the children in the home.
• Support children with school, activities, life skills, and community time.
• Contribute to key working, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records.
• Work alongside a close-knit team to keep the home safe, warm, and nurturing.
