Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field eligible for teacher certification within Utah.
• One or more years’ experience working with children or adolescents with behavior or emotional problems preferred.
• Knowledgeable of developmental stages and behaviors for the target age group.

Responsibilities

• Identify educational needs and develop formal plans to meet them.
• Create lesson plans and teach subjects to students; help them study and communicate.
• Observe and evaluate student progress; work with them to improve abilities and overcome challenges.
• Teach and mentor students individually or in groups; supervise in non-classroom settings.
• Communicate progress with families, counselors, and other teachers.
• Document plans, goals and progress as required by the facility and state of Utah.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Attend required trainings and cooperate with safety protocols.
