Job summary

SpartanX is seeking an experienced Solar Inspection Technician to support residential solar inspection operations across our active markets. This role serves as the critical quality checkpoint between installation and final approval.

You'll evaluate completed solar projects for inspection readiness, identify deficiencies before the inspector does, and coordinate corrections with Installation, Electrical, Service, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Minimum residential solar experience required.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work on rooftops and outdoors in varying conditions.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Excellent communication with inspectors, homeowners, and teams.
Experience coordinating with Installation, Electrical, Service, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspection-readiness reviews for residential solar installations.
Verify projects meet standards, AHJ and utility requirements, and codes.
Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions before inspection.
Attend inspections and communicate with inspectors and AHJs.
Document inspection results and ensure corrections are completed before reinspections.
Assist with scheduling reinspections and improve first-time pass rates.
Work with field teams to improve installation consistency.
Identify recurring issues and report trends to leadership.
Operate safely on rooftops or ladders in outdoor conditions.
