Job Title: Residential Care Provider (RCP)

Job Code: SSS013/Client Support Worker Supervisor

Shift: Day/ Full time 40 Hours Per Week

Job Hours: Times May Vary

Base Location: Rockdale Co. Conyers, GA

Division/Department/Program: IDD Residential Group Homes

The IDD Site Supervisor manages operations, supervises direct care staff, and monitors resident activity in a personal care home or other community residential site serving consumers with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.

Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Assists with daily living activities at the person's home or in a residential or non-residential facility. Observes and monitors client's behavior, charts observations and incidents, and provides training in personal, social, academic, or work skills. May assist with meal prep, client activities, transportation, and limited case management.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Train staff on residential service principles: positive interactions, respect for consumer rights, dignity, and normalization.
  2. Counsel and evaluate staff performance, monitor compliance, and manage scheduling to ensure 24-hour coverage, minimizing overtime.
  3. Participate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions of staff.
  4. Review and verify staff time records, approve or deny leave according to policies, and counsel employees regarding leave balances.
  5. Ensure accurate and complete time and attendance records and notify HR of payroll issues.
  6. Participate in treatment planning, provide input based on observations, and support effective communication among service providers.
  7. Lead and support staff in meeting consumer treatment goals and maintaining the residence.
  8. Document progress notes and maintain consumer records in compliance with regulations.
  9. Maintain the site and equipment, coordinate repairs, and ensure health and safety compliance.
  10. Use personal vehicle for transportation when needed, serve as safety officer, and represent the site in meetings and inspections.
  11. Complete and submit required reports and training records timely.
  12. Stay updated on required training and ensure staff training compliance.
  13. Perform physical tasks such as lifting groceries, moving furniture, and assisting residents with mobility needs.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED, three years of social/direct care experience with individuals with disabilities (including one year in a supervisory role), or one year as a Client Support Worker 3 or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MH/IDD populations, high acuity settings, psychiatric hospitals, or residential mental health facilities.

Requirements/Competencies:
  • Pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, TB evaluation.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Completion of required training, ability to lift 20 pounds, and use of electronic health records.
  • Willingness to transport residents, maintain professional boundaries, and use behavioral management skills.
