Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor is an evolution of the Residential Counselor II and is expected to fulfill all expectations of a Residential Counselor II while taking a leadership role. The Shift Supervisor will maintain a therapeutic environment within the residence, ensuring the needs of the client in safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, and shelter; supervising Residential Counselors/Relief Counselors in those areas and providing support and training as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure applicable rules, policies, and procedures are followed on their shifts.
• Implement each client’s individual Level Plan objectives under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Supervisor.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation for the shift accurately.
• Provide appropriate, safe responses to emergency situations when necessary.
• Develop strong, supportive relationships with clients and employees.
• Ensure client care and safety, observing all safety measures.
• Plan and implement crisis interventions with clients.
• Notify Program Director immediately in the event of a client crisis or any behavior constituting an incident in the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or 2 years related field preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills; prior supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in Human Services working with adolescents.
• Must have valid driver’s license; must meet Agency requirements for driving history records.
• Must pass a CORI within the standards identified by EEC.
• Must have availability of an automobile to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary.
