A.B May, a Kansas City plumbing service provider with a long-standing local presence, is seeking a Residential Sewer Sales Consultant to drive sewer project sales and customer satisfaction. You will guide customers through repair options, prepare bids, and collaborate with technicians to close projects profitably.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage on-site projects from assessment through completion, including financing discussions where needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years sales experience.
• 1+ years plumbing/drains experience preferred.
• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes sewer camera to discover plumbing and sewer issues in a customer’s home.
• Diagnoses plumbing and sewer issues, and prepares repair estimates.
• Provides supervision of drain technicians
• Creates and implements drain technician training plan to facilitate sewer sales process
• Executes the sewer sales process to deliver repair options directly to the customer.
• Creates job bids in accordance with company profit goals.
• Prepares statement of work and documents to hand project off to installation team.
• Communicates with customer throughout project and ensures satisfaction at completion.
• Participates in training events and shares best practices with sewer sales team.
• Rotates On-Call duty to provide after hours services to customers.
• Assists customers with financing options for project.

• Utilizes sewer camera to discover plumbing and sewer issues in a customer’s home.
• Diagnoses plumbing and sewer issues, and prepares repair estimates.
• Provides supervision of drain technicians
• Creates and implements drain technician training plan to facilitate sewer sales process
• Executes the sewer sales process to deliver repair options directly to the customer.
• Creates job bids in accordance with company profit goals.
• Thoroughly prepares statement of work and supporting documents to hand project off to installation team.
• Communicates with customer through entire project, and ensures customer is 100% satisfied at completion of project.
• Participates in training events and shares lessons learned/best practices with sewer sales team.
• Rotates On-Call duty to provide after hours services to customers.
• Assists customers with financing options for project.

What You Will Bring:

• 1- 2+ years sales experience required
• 1+ years plumbing/drains experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, basements).
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
• Ability to work at heights (e.g., ladders, elevated plat forms).
• Manual dexterity to handle electrical tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions when performing outdoor installations.
