Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services seeks a Residential Services Aide at the Selinsgrove Center to support daily routines, care, and rehabilitation for individuals. Qualifications

• Six months of paid care experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Must meet PA residency requirements and pass a medical exam and drug screening.

This position supports the Selinsgrove Center by assisting with daily care, treatment, and training activities designed to help individuals build skills and maintain health. The role works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide consistent support and meaningful interactions. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:

• Support Plans: Assist with completing Individual Habilitation Plan/Individual Support Plan (IHP/ISP) assessments and implementing plans to meet individual needs
• Provide Care: Help individuals with daily IHP/ISP routines, self-care tasks, and health maintenance activities
• Record Information: Document observations, progress, and required data in unit records for team communication
• Team Participation: Work with Interdisciplinary Team members to share updates, discuss needs, and support active treatment
• Enhance Environment: Help maintain therapeutic spaces by assisting with the selection and placement of personal items and equipment
• Model Professionalism: Promote dignity, privacy, and respectful interactions while following policies and procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will have rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off.

• Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
