Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Electrician to perform residential electrical tasks, troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems while upholding safety standards and codes. You will diagnose issues, communicate options to homeowners, and deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic field.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in varied indoor/outdoor environments.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
The physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required by the job

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential settings and perform necessary repairs.
Install, repair, and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers for reliable operation.
Explain electrical problems and recommended solutions to homeowners clearly.
Handle physical tasks: lifting, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, safely.
