Adams, Inc. is seeking a skilled Residential Service Electrician to join our growing team. This is not a new construction role. We're looking for a professional who excels at troubleshooting, service upgrades, EV charger installations, customer communication, and estimating residential electrical work.

Compensation

$35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Compensation is based on:
  • Licensure level
  • Residential service experience

  • Overall qualifications and performance
Expected Annual Earnings

$85,000 - $120,000+ including overtime and incentive opportunities.

What You'll Do
Residential Service & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues.
  • Repair and maintain residential electrical systems.
  • Identify code violations and safety concerns.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform residential electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied homes.
Service Upgrades & Installations
  • Perform residential service upgrades and service replacements.
  • Install and replace electrical panels and breakers.
  • Install and service EV charging stations.
  • Install lighting, receptacles, switches, circuits, and electrical equipment.
  • Complete electrical work in accordance with NEC, Wisconsin code requirements, and company standards.
  • Assist with generator and specialty electrical installations as needed.
Estimating & Customer Service
  • Meet directly with homeowners to evaluate project needs.
  • Develop accurate estimates, quotes, and scopes of work.
  • Recommend solutions that address customer concerns and improve safety.
  • Identify labor, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Clearly communicate recommendations and project details.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience on every service call.
Documentation & Communication
  • Complete service tickets and work orders accurately.
  • Document troubleshooting findings and repairs.
  • Maintain communication with customers and internal team members.
  • Manage materials and job-related documentation.

Licensing Requirements

Applicants Must Meet One of the Following Requirements:

  • Wisconsin Residential Journeyman Electrician License
  • Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician License
  • Wisconsin Master Electrician License
OR
  • Have sufficient documented hours to sit for the Wisconsin Residential Journeyman Electrician examination and obtain the license within 30 days of hire.
Important:

Licensing is a condition of employment.

Candidates licensed in another state may be considered; however, they must obtain a Wisconsin Residential Journeyman Electrician License within 30 days of hire.

Failure to obtain required Wisconsin licensure within 30 days of hire may result in termination of employment.
