Job summary

Surefox North America Inc is seeking an experienced Residential Security Agent to join our team in Mountain View, California. The position offers a competitive hourly pay of $45.59, with transit pay applicable. It's a rotational schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, with opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Job description

Surefox North America Inc is a veteran owned company that prides itself on creating a diverse and unique culture of trained and talented individuals. We are currently seeking an experienced Residential Security Agent with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team here in the Bay Area or outside of California.

You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the Team Leader and Program Managers for our top Silicon Valley clients. As a Residential Security Agent, you will act as a liaison between Surefox and its clients while providing physical security at their residence. You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responding to emergency events, medical & non‑medical issues, incident detection, observation, physical security, overwatch and reconnaissance to assigned clients, staffing deficiencies, and handling client requests in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone with exceptional observational skills, who works independently and can liaise and coordinate with supporting or adjacent teams, agencies, or vendors to ensure client security requirements are met. The selected individual must be flexible, able to respond to dynamic situations with sound judgment, and have the capacity to perform duties on a national and international level.

Base pay $45.59 per hour. Transit pay $30 per hour (if applicable).

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and influence informally across different departments within the team.
  • Track and report on program performance assurance and compliance requirements within the provided guidelines.
  • Manage and monitor surveillance equipment and access points.
  • Maintain a log of all activity occurring at the residence.
  • Screen all incoming mail.
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot and/or by vehicle while monitoring access.
  • Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on site.
  • Contact the police or fire department if and when there is an emergency.
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company and/or client property.
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities.
  • Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner.
  • Attend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposed changes.
  • Work independently and adapt to various work paces while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.
  • Be responsible for client and family safety, and safeguard client assets.
  • Conduct ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Operate motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local emergency services, routes, and points of interest within a given area of responsibility.
  • Operate in a low profile, low footprint capacity.
  • Follow Residential Security Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Comply with Surefox Policy and Procedures.
Schedule & Travel
  • Rotational schedule – 4 days on / 4 days off (operations may dictate otherwise).
  • Domestic and international travel as requested by the client.
Requirements
  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States.
  • Minimum age of 18 years per state licensing guidelines.
  • Must pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate.
  • Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card.
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Good judgment and the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must pass the Protective Operations Surefox Physical Agility Test (PO SPAT) with or without reasonable accommodation prior to the scheduled start date.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification for all ages is required.
  • Valid and current driver license.
  • Valid U.S. passport.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Ability to work autonomously, domestically and internationally.
  • Operational understanding of today’s technology across all platforms.
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
  • Security or law enforcement related experience.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Report writing experience.
  • Experience working with families and children in a high net worth environment.
  • International experience.
