The Residential Estimator is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction from the initial roof inspection until roof completion. The Residential Estimator is also responsible for representing the company in a professional manner while adhering to the Deer Park Roofing Core Values.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Estimate commercial projects and submit proposals or bid forms to bidders.

- Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop relationships with new customers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform all job duties in a professional manner to ensure an excellent customer service experience.
- Review the calendar and ensure correct paperwork is taken to daily appointments.
- Inspect all equipment prior to use to ensure safety.
- Perform thorough rooftop inspections and provide solutions for the customers that will minimize our company risks in terms of warranties.
- Take photographs of the existing roof system from the rooftop, when safe and accessible, as well as photographs of the attic conditions, and upload all photos to DataForma. Roof photographs should be taken from the roof surface rather than from ground level whenever conditions allow.
- Provide durable solutions to customers in a responsive manner and within 48 hours of their appointment.
- Communicate the sales process with the customer and provide your contact information to customer for any follow up questions.
- Submit detailed proposals with correct manufacturer names, products and sizes to the Office Admins for typing daily.
- Follow up with customers once proposals are sent. Ensure customer satisfaction by answering questions and dropping off samples as needed.
- List any potential safety hazards on the job preparation sheet for production to review.
- Communicate and review sold jobs with the production and installation staff daily to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that job files are organized and filed properly.
- Share customer feedback with other employees.
- Assist with customer service, complaints or warranty issues as needed.
- Participate in a sales strategy that focuses on educating the customer about our products and installation methods.
- Embrace the programs identified in the DPR Marketing Program.
- Maintain or exceed target margins and closing percentages as directed by Sales Manager.
- Assist the Vice President and Operations Manager as needed.
- Ensure the Material Check Out ticket is completed for each project prior to removing materials from warehouse.
- Embrace teachable moments with employees throughout the company.
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers and insurance professionals.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
At least 3 years of sales experience in the roofing or construction industry.
Construction, roofing or other technical experience preferred.
Must have the ability to bid projects using plans and specifications.
Licensures and Certifications:
Valid drivers license is required.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
