The ideal candidate will have hands-on framing experience and general carpentry skills for residential projects. This role covers ongoing framing, renovations, and unit remodels, along with maintenance for multi-unit properties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with emphasis on framing and renovation work.
• Proficiency in residential construction techniques including framing, drywall, finish work, and cabinet/fixture installation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and framing plans.
• Strong knowledge of hand/power tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with residents.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic building codes, safety codes, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of carpentry work, including general maintenance and turnover work, with a focus on framing, renovation, and remodel projects.
• Assist in layout, measuring, and material selection for renovation and remodeling projects.
• Address maintenance and repair needs of multi-unit residential properties.
• Complete work orders and turnover projects promptly and efficiently.
• Repair and replace damaged fixtures, flooring, trim, windows and doors.
• Install hardware such as doorknobs, locks, and hinges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common maintenance issues in residential units and common areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with property management, tenants, and team members.
