Job summary

Aspire Health Alliance in Norwell is seeking a Residential Rehab Educator/Counselor to assist adults with mental illness. In this role, you will enable clients to achieve independence and engage meaningfully in life. Responsibilities include supporting daily living activities and implementing treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, coursework in psychology or human services preferred, along with experience in the health field. A valid driver’s license and certifications like CPR and First Aid are required.

Job Overview & Responsibilities

Jump start a rewarding Human Services Career as a Residential Rehab Educator/Counselor. You will play an essential role in enabling adults with mental illness to live as actively and independently as possible.

Residential Rehab Educators/Counselors assist clients experiencing behavioral health issues with:

• Goal setting and achievement
• Activities of daily living
• Engagement in meaningful activities
• Socialization
• Transportation and administration of medication
• Implementation of treatment plans that help clients reach goals and manage symptoms
• Development of independence and enhancement of quality of life

Education & Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, human services, social work, health sciences toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Previous experience working in the health and human services field and/or related education or training.
• We provide ongoing training and development.
• Patience and an understanding of individuals with disabilities, ability to interact with them.
• Dependability, flexibility, and desire to help others.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn to use an electronic health record system.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license and safe driving record; access to a personal vehicle required at some sites.
• CPR, First Aid and MAP certifications will be required.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are for a full-time 40‑hour per week position.
