Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or WorkKeys assessments completed.
• One year of driving experience with CDL preferred.
• Experience with Power Take Off (PTO) and ancillary devices preferred.
• Coursework in automotive/transportation/truck driving preferred.
• WorkKeys: Workplace Documents Level 3; Graphic Literacy Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and haul garbage and refuse using a side load truck; operate PTO and hydraulic compactor; assist unloading at landfill.
• Assume responsibility for assigned residential refuse collection and recycling routes.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment and conduct pre-trip, trip and post-trip inspections.
• Confer with supervisor on basic operational decisions; make supplementary decisions to perform duties.
• Assist in maintenance of refuse containers and ensure safe work practices.
